There is so much to do and see in Vancouver from nature to culture to restaurants and shopping, that
we recommend you spend a minimum of 3 days. Here are
some sample Vancouver tourist attractions and activities
to maximize your enjoyment of those 3 days. |

| Day One |
Visit Vancouver's Chinatown,
the second largest in North America. See the Dr.
Sun Yat Sen Gardens, the only classical Chinese
gardens outside of China. Visit Gastown,
the original waterfront area of Vancouver. Explore the
unique architecture, cobblestone streets, and the famous
steam clock. Check out the excellent shops that specialize
in native arts and crafts. Walk along Robson
Street, Vancouver's answer to Rodeo Drive and be sure to check out the Vancouver Art Gallery. Spend
money. Visit Stanley
Park, the largest urban park in North America. See
the world class Aquarium,
and the outdoor whale show. Explore the six mile (10km)
Seawall.
Rent a bicycle or in-line skates, walk it or jog it.
(The Seawall is not hilly.) See the totem poles and
swoon over the view from Prospect
Point. Have dinner at the Fish
House in Stanley Park, one of Vancouver's finest
fish and seafood restaurants. |

| Day Two |
Go on a 4 hour kayaking trip with Lotusland
Tours. (free pick-up from the Manor). See where
the Rainforest meets the ocean and enjoy a salmon barbecue
on a remote island. Experience the colourful indoor
market on Granville
island - a feast for the senses. See the excellent
craft shops, featuring the work of local artists. Have
dinner on the patio at Bridge's.
See a Shakespearian play at Bard
on the Beach. |

| Day Three |
Visit Queen
Elizabeth Park and see the magnificent landscaped
gardens and McMillan-Bloedel
Conservatory of rare plants and exotic birds. See
the extensive gardens at the Van
Dusen Botanical Gardens and try to find your way
out of the Elizabethan labyrinth. Visit the Museum
of Anthropology at the University
of British Columbia to view the spectacular collections
of West Coast Native art. Visit the Capilano
Suspension Bridge. At 450 feet it's the longest
suspension bridge in the world, overlooking a magnificent
canyon. Cross it if you dare. Walk through and admire
the impressive living forest exhibit. Visit Grouse
Mountain and ride the famous Skyride to this 3700
ft. (1300 meter) high mountain playground. Enjoy a sweeping
view of Vancouver and environs. Have dinner at the restaurant.
Resolve to come back to Vancouver soon because you've
only skimmed the surface. |
